What is cyber resilience?

What is a secure isolated recovery environment?

A secure isolated recovery environment (SIRE) is a dedicated, offline system designed to safely decontaminate and restore critical data and operations after a cyberattack or disaster. Physically and logically separated from the primary network, it prevents malware spread and unauthorized access. With strict access controls, immutable backups, and limited connectivity, a SIRE ensures clean recovery points and rapid restoration. This containment-focused approach strengthens business continuity by providing a trusted, uncompromised space to rebuild and resume operations securely.
