1.  Use of AI CoPilot.  These AI CoPilot Terms of Use (“AI CoPilot Terms”) govern End User’s use and access to AI CoPilot.  End Users agree to these terms when using and accessing the AI CoPilot. These AI CoPilot Terms may be updated by Pure to reflect changes in technology, law, or Pure policies. AI CoPilot’s security is received and updated regularly to ensure compliance with prevailing industry standards.

2.  Data Security and Hosting Details. AI CoPilot predominantly uses OpenAI’s cloud-hosted ChatGPT Enterprise for Large Language Models, which itself is SOC 2 Type 2 compliant. End User data is encrypted both in transit and at rest, with data being deleted after 30 days. AI CoPilot attempts to detect and block any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) in prompts before sending questions to OpenAI. End User’s data is not used for training models and remains under End User’s control. Additionally, Pure does not access any PII in the application, except to the extent necessary to show generic email IDs in responses from support@purestorage.com.

3.  Data Usage and End User Opt-in. End Users may opt-out of using AI CoPilot by contacting their applicable Pure Account Manager. AI CoPilot adheres to the same authentication and authorization rules as Pure1, ensuring users see only that data they are authorized to see. AI CoPilot may reference public-facing documentation available to customers, internal expertise, and Pure1 Data to generate responses. End User may request access to the AI CoPilot audit logs of End User’s activity through the applicable Pure Account Manager.

4.  Warranty Disclaimer. AI COPILOT IS PROVIDED AS-IS, WITHOUT ANY REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES. PURE DOES NOT WARRANT THAT AI COPILOT FUNCTIONS ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT AI COPILOT MEETS END USER’S REQUIREMENTS. PURE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY ISSUES RELATED TO THE PERFORMANCE, OPERATION OR SECURITY OF AI COPILOT TO THE EXTENT ARISING FROM END USER’S ACTIONS, DATA, THIRD PARTY APPLICATIONS OR OTHER SERVICES PROVIDED BY THIRD PARTIES. TO THE EXTENT NOT PROHIBITED BY LAW, THESE WARRANTIES ARE EXCLUSIVE AND PURE MAKES NO WARRANTY, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WITH RESPECT TO AI COPILOT AND EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF MERCHANTABILITY, SATISFACTORY QUALITY OR RESULTS, AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

5.  End User Acknowledgements. End User acknowledges and agrees to the following: (a) AI CoPilot utilizes artificial intelligence technologies, including automated decision-making and content generation, which may interact with you without human involvement; (b) AI-generated content is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute professional advice (including but not limited to legal, financial, medical, or psychological advice); (c) not to rely solely on AI-generated outputs or AI CoPilot for critical decisions and to consult a qualified professional where appropriate; (d) while reasonable efforts are made to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the Service, AI-generated and AI CoPilot content may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information; and (e) End User is solely responsible for how End User uses the outputs of AI CoPilot and for verifying any information before acting upon it.

6.  General Terms. These Pure1 Terms supplement the Agreement (or other written agreement covering the same subject matter executed by Pure) for the Product or Services purchased by End User. Capitalized terms not specifically defined in these Pure 1 Terms have the same meaning as in the Agreement. Pure reserves the right to update these Pure1 Terms from time to time, as noted by the “Last Updated” date below.
